Terms of Service

By creating an OtterSnap account or calling the OtterSnap API you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

OtterSnap renders web pages to images and PDFs via a paid API, with a free tier. Features and limits are described on our pricing page and may change; material changes will be announced by email or in-app at least 14 days in advance for paid plans.

2. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to use OtterSnap to:

• render content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights;
• mass-capture pages to spam, scrape personal data at scale, or circumvent site access controls;
• attack, overload or probe our infrastructure or third-party sites;
• resell raw API capacity without a written agreement.

We may suspend accounts that violate these rules, with notice where practical.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the URLs you render and the outputs you receive. You grant us only the limited right needed to process them for you.

4. Billing & cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy for the 14-day money-back guarantee.

5. Availability & liability

We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
